Antiques on Loan

The 5 people who have read my previous rants know my passion for baroque antiques, and my frustration for walking past the most fabulous stores in West Hollywood, looking at beautiful unattainable objects that would look oh so good in the Red Chair’s decor. Well…One day, looking for a replacement for the (finally fixed) Ottoman, I walked in one such store, met its gorgeous owner Hanna, explained who I was, what I did, and what I was looking for, and after she saw my face after reading the $5,000 price tag on the Ottoman you see here, told me I could borrow it to shoot it, which, with the addition of a beautiful sun shaped mirror, you saw featured in Sybil Hawthorne‘ s latest set. TFAntiques? Cool! For the sake of not offending her high end clientele, names will not be mentioned here, but you can visit the store’s website HERE. I like the philosophy behind Antiques collecting, that an object may be found and given a new life across centuries. We’ve discussed designing pieces together. Stay tuned.
